Fair copy (holograph?) made apparently to present to the dedicatee, "Madame la Comtesse Blanche Uggeri de la Somaglia" (Somaglia, Bianca Uggeri Capece della, 1743-1822, of Piacenza). The volume includes social verses with semi-biographical notes on the Parisians who inspired them and their own poems. There are also some political allusions.

Overview This manuscript account book was apparently kept by the steward of a monastic house belonging to the religious order of the Ospitaliere di Santo Spirito. The entries for the purchase and sale of lambs, lambskins, pigeons, timber and grain are dated 1645-1650 and establish the location as the Puglia region of Italy. Chronicle of history of the Friuli area, Italy compiled ca. 1511 and continued to 1543. Contents cover period 1490 to 1543, arranged chronologically. Written in northern Italian vernacular in a variety of scripts and by different hands over several decades. Records land and family transactions in villages surrounding Friuli, including: Buin, Coloreto, Amelia, Pavia, Pagna, Nels, Artegna, Pers, Feletto, Udine, Carnia, Codroipo, S. Lorenzo, and Blauso.
